We would like to invite you to our seminar

*Neurodiversity in the Majority World *

Following on from our first successful online symposium, we are pleased to announce the second Neurodiversity in the Majority World event. This year our focus will be on neurodiversity in India.

Join us as we start building a library of experiences and discuss how we can begin to understand the many challenges and opportunities to learn about autism and neurodiversity. We will be exploring the intersections of autism, culture, material conditions, policy and activism with our speakers in their respective fields.

Our speakers

*Shubha Ranganathan* is an Associate Professor in the Department of Liberal Arts, Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad. Her background is eclectic and interdisciplinary, having been trained in psychology but drawing on ethnographic approaches to questions around health, gender, and disability.

*Anna Maria Joseph* is a public mental health researcher and writer with OCD, based in Bangalore, India. As a researcher, she is engaged with projects studying the rehospitalisation of psychiatric patients, impact of arts based interventions for gender violence prevention, and suicide prevention among young people.

The seminar is online and open to everyone. The event is free, however, participants must register in order to attend.
